Best Views in Fulham

A good view turns an ordinary coffee into something you remember. Fulham has more of them than people realise, if you know where to look. Tables where the outlook does the work. Terraces angled at the right bit of sky. Park benches that have quietly earned their spot. These are the places worth choosing for the outlook alone, where what's in front of you matters as much as what's on the plate. Best enjoyed slowly, ideally with the weather on your side.

No. 1Bishop's Park

ParkHours listed

Bishop's Park

The local tip: Combine the riverside walk with the tennis or basketball courts; the summer splash pad is the family draw.

The green heart of Fulham since 1893, running along the Thames from Putney Bridge to Craven Cottage. Alongside the ornamental lake, urban beach and playgrounds are tennis courts, a basketball court, bowling green and table tennis, making it as useful for an active afternoon as a riverside stroll. Fulham Palace and its walled garden sit directly beside it.

No. 2Constance

Constance

The local tip: The steak frites is a sure bet. Ask for a window table

Michelin-starred chef Adam Byatt's restaurant at Fulham Pier, formerly Brasserie Constance, serving modern British seasonal cooking with floor-to-ceiling Thames views and a terrace for al fresco dining. The menu changes with the seasons and tips its hat to the cookery writer Constance Spry, and the wine list runs to more than two hundred options. For all the pedigree there are no airs and graces (dogs welcome, no dress code), and it remains one of SW6's most exciting recent openings.

No. 3Flo Bar at Constance

Flo Bar at Constance

The local tip: The Prosecco bar downstairs is a nice touch. Good wine list

The riverside cocktail and wine bar at Fulham Pier, part of Adam Byatt's Constance (formerly Brasserie Constance). Floor-to-ceiling Thames views, a deep wine list curated by the Trinity sommelier team, and a concise cocktail menu. This is the most elevated drinking experience in Fulham right now, proper mixology with a river panorama. Small plates available. Closed on Fulham FC match days, which is either a blessing or a curse depending on your perspective.

No. 4The Crabtree

Pub & Bar££Open today

The Crabtree

The local tip: The riverside terrace on a summer evening is hard to beat

A proper riverside pub tucked away on Rainville Road with one of the best beer gardens in west London. The Crabtree sits right on the Thames and on a sunny day there's nowhere you'd rather be. The inside is classic pub territory — warm, wood-panelled, with a decent selection of ales. Perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon watching the river traffic, or a post-match pint after walking along from Craven Cottage.

No. 5The Waterside

Pub & Bar££Open today

The Waterside

The local tip: The riverside terrace is stunning. Worth the walk to Imperial Wharf

A modern, split-level riverside bar at Imperial Wharf with cocktails, global wines, and a heated terrace overlooking the Thames and marina. South-facing for afternoon sun and sunset drinks. Feels more like a bar than a pub despite the Young's branding, sleek and contemporary inside. One of the few spots in Fulham where you can drink right on the river. Romantic sunsets guaranteed.

What makes a good spot with a view in Fulham?

A guide tag narrows the use case, but it does not replace judgement. The place still has to work in real life: the room, the service, the food or offer, and whether I would send someone there for that exact reason.
